I thoroughly enjoyed author-illustrator Breanna Carzoo’s SCBWI presentation, “Being a Beginner Author-Illustrator.” One of the quotes she shared was this one from Albert Einstein, and it was such a timely reminder. With the kids home for the summer, I’ve been trying hard to strategize how I can get my work done; all the same, it’s just as important that I strategize how I (and we) can do some playing.
