This is a brief, yet important, reminder to support your local independent bookstores—every day, of course, but especially today. :) Why today? Well, you can read about it all here.

So be sure to check your shelf today: what might you want to swap out?

Since indie bookstores will be hosting all kinds of in-person shenanigans, activities, sales, and bonuses to celebrate, going in person will be SO MUCH fun.

However, if you are location-bound today, bookshop.org is another option for buying your books online—while offering the convenience of a “one account for many bookstores” that you may have grown accustomed to. If you’ve never checked them out, maybe today is a good day?

Here in Seattle, I am biased (because I will soon be having my first author events at these very same stores), I am a particular fan of Third Place Books and Queen Anne Book Company¹! But there is no “wrong” answer when you look outside (literally) of The Big Online One and support your own book-loving ecosystem!
