Argh - why does inspiration (how to organize, ideas on doing anything differently) always feel for me so like I'm running behind and will never catch up?! "Someday" I'll share my not-so-organized writing spaces (and get a second monitor :))
Stephanie, I'm sorry to hear that you find like you are being put on the spot to do any particular thing! I meant this post to be the opposite: to empower you to lean into whatever YOUR process is! Whatever you are doing, it's just fine!! And my space definitely ping-pongs between tidy-ish and decidedly not! (I should take a picture of it today! 😬) I usually clean it up on Sunday when I'm in planning mode, but there's a reason for that: by the next Sunday, it's always trashed again. LOL!
You do not put me on the spot-i am just regularly wishful that I did differently (read:”better”). I am a big stealer of others’ great ideas, so love seeing yours, but feel like I still don’t know my own process —my process is in process 😜 I may get my desk actually together one of these days, but right now I have so much “stored” on it that it’s not usable. Sigh. It’s always baby steps…
That's such a good point--it's definitely a nice feeling when you realize that whatever part of your process you thought was "weird" is actually something a lot of other people do, too! :)
I enjoyed reading Molly's book, though I haven't put it much into practice yet in terms of my own art! But I will definitely have it nearby to refer to the next time I go to set up a visual scene!

Baby steps, chiseling...it's always bit by bit. Alas. :) But those tiny, repetitive movements do add up! You got this! I'm sure of it.
